Magnesium oil isn’t actually an “oil” after all, but instead was coined as such due to the high saturation of magnesium chloride in water, which presents itself in an “oil-like” texture.

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) has long been revered as a superior form of sulfur supplementation, but as a topical it may facilitate more efficient uptake of magnesium ions. Magnesium Oil Ultra contains approximately 1.6g elemental magnesium and 3.6g of MSM (OptiMSM®) per fl oz. Recommended Use:

Apply by spraying directly onto the body or spray a small amount in the palm of your hand. Rub the liquid on sore muscles or joints for example. Magnesium oil also has an exfoliating effect on the skin as it can dissolve old skin cells.

Apply generously and leave on for 15 minutes or so after which you can wipe off any remaining salty residue if necessary. Magnesium chloride is quickly absorbed through the skin. You may experience some redness of the skin and tingling or itching. In such a case, just wipe the residue off after a few minutes. You will still benefit from the magnesium.
